What can I use with a tiltpod?
Most compact digital cameras will work with the tiltpod. Some unusually large digital compacts may have limited range of motion. The tiltpod mobile comes in two versions, one for the iPhone 4 and one for the iPhone 5, which also includes a tiltpod compatible ultra thin case.

NOTE: Maximum recommended camera weight is 7 oz (200g). The tiltpod is not compatible with interchangeable lens cameras, like full-size DSLR’s, micro 4/3′s, or Sony NEX cameras. The lenses used on these cameras are too heavy for the compact tiltpod base.

How does the iPhone or camera connect to the base?
The tiltpod base has an internal high-strength magnet. The precision machined pivot point can be quickly connected and removed from the tiltpod base.

How do I add a self timer function to the camera on my iPhone?
There are several free and low-cost options available in the iPhone app store. Here are a few we recommend:
Camera Awesome (Currently our favorite, and free)
Auto Shutter 2.0 (Free)
Gorillacam (Free)
Camera+ ($0.99)
Photo Timer ($1.99)

Will the tiltpod mobile adapter fit other phones or an iPhone in a case?
The many different shapes and sizes of phones and cases make it a real challenge to keep the adapter small and providing a snug fit. The tiltpod mobile for iPhone 4/4S is designed to fit a caseless iPhone. The tiltpod mobile for iPhone 5 fits the with or without the included tiltpod-compatible case. The universal stick-on pivot that comes with tiltpod for compact cameras can be used on many phones/cases, but note that it can not be removed and reapplied.

Will the tiltpod magnet erase my memory card?
Your iPhone and camera uses solid-state (non-magnetic) memory that is not effected by the magnet. However, we recommend keeping the tiltpod away from credit cards or other magnetically sensitive devices.
…………………………….
Which pivot should I use, the screw-on or the universal stick-on?
The screw-on pivot is used for cameras that have a tripod socket located close to the center of the camera. If your camera’s tripod socket is located closer to the sides, it may be necessary to apply the universal stick-on pivot. In some cases, you may need to put the stick-on pivot ON the battery/memory card door (but be sure not to cover the hinge). Be careful, the adhesive on the stick-on pivot is very sticky, you only get one shot at getting it positioned right!

What surfaces can I use the tiltpod on?
The underside of the tiltpod base is made of a grippy material, so it holds on inclined surfaces, wood, rocks, you name it. Since the base is magnetic, it also sticks to inclined metal surfaces like car hoods, metal fence posts, or refrigerator doors!
…………………………….
Can I adjust the position once my iPhone or camera is attached to the base?
Yes, you can rotate and tilt to precisely position them within a wide range of motion.
…………………………….
My camera has a centered socket and I used the screw-on pivot, so what should I do with the extra stick-on pivot?
You can stick it to one side of the camera for vertical oriented shots, or use it on a second camera.
